Microsoft 365 Managed Services

Microsoft 365 runs itself right up until the day it does not.

Microsoft 365 holds your email, your files, your identity, and your collaboration, which makes it the biggest single target in most organizations. Out of the box it ships permissive: weak defaults, no backup, sharing that sprawls, and licenses nobody tracks. Topping runs 365 the way it should be run, hardened, governed, backed up, and right-sized.

What managing Microsoft 365 involves

A Microsoft 365 tenant is far more than email. It is your identity provider, your file storage, your intranet, your phone-and-meeting platform, and the front door to nearly everything else. Because it holds so much, it is the first place attackers go. Microsoft's default settings favor easy setup over security, and that leaves most tenants more exposed than their owners realize.

Managing it well means three things working together. Security covers MFA, conditional access, threat policies, and tenant hardening. Governance covers who can share what, how Teams and SharePoint sprawl gets controlled, and how data is retained. Operations covers provisioning and offboarding users cleanly, keeping configurations sane, and making sure the data is actually backed up, because under Microsoft's shared-responsibility model, recovering your data falls to you.

What's included

Inside the engagement

Tenant security hardening

MFA enforcement, conditional access, and Defender threat policies configured to close the gaps Microsoft's defaults leave open.

Identity & access management

Clean user provisioning, role-based access, and prompt offboarding so departed staff cannot reach your data on day one.

Teams & SharePoint governance

Controls on sharing, external access, and site sprawl so collaboration stays productive without becoming a data-leak surface.

Microsoft 365 backup

Independent, recoverable backup of mail, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams, the data Microsoft does not back up for you.

License optimization

Right-sized license assignment and renewal tracking so you pay for what you use and not for seats nobody touches.

Migration & onboarding

Clean moves from on-prem Exchange, Google Workspace, or another tenant, with minimal downtime and documented cutover.

What you get

The outcomes you can hold us to

A tenant attackers can't walk into

Hardened identity and threat policies shut down the credential-theft and email-compromise attacks that account for most 365 breaches.

Your data is actually recoverable

Independent backup means a deleted mailbox, a ransomware event, or a malicious insider does not mean permanent data loss.

Spend you can defend

License optimization stops the slow creep of unused and over-provisioned seats, and renewal tracking ends surprise true-ups.

Governed collaboration

Teams and SharePoint stay useful instead of becoming an ungoverned sprawl of over-shared sites and orphaned data.

Who it's for

This fits any Dallas-area business that has standardized on Microsoft 365 but is running it on autopilot, which is most of them. It is especially useful for organizations with compliance obligations, those that grew fast and picked up tenant sprawl along the way, and any team that assumes Microsoft backs up their data (it does not). It works on its own or as part of full managed IT.

Frequently asked questions

Doesn't Microsoft already back up our 365 data?
No, and that surprises a lot of people. Microsoft's shared-responsibility model keeps the service running, but recovering your data after accidental deletion, ransomware, or a malicious insider is on you. We provide independent, recoverable backup to close that gap.
Is Microsoft 365 secure out of the box?
It can be secure, but it is not secure by default. The out-of-the-box settings favor easy setup: MFA off, broad sharing, permissive defaults. Most of the real protection comes from hardening the tenant with MFA, conditional access, and proper threat policies.
Can you help us cut our 365 licensing costs?
Often, yes. We review what each user needs versus what they are assigned, flag unused and over-provisioned seats, and track renewals. We handle the specifics in a free 30-minute scope review rather than guess here.
Can you migrate us from on-prem Exchange or Google Workspace?
Yes. Migrations into Microsoft 365 are core work for us. We move mail, files, and identity cleanly, with minimal downtime and a documented cutover so nothing goes missing in the transition.
